A large industrial firm in Shelby, Ohio expanded their fabrication center on property located within the 100-year floodplain of the Black Fork River. To enable construction for this growing business, the owners were required to secure a proven method of flood protection to acquire flood insurance.

The facility service door openings in the concrete foundation were fitted with the Invisible Flood Control Wall™ elements. This is a low cost effort to design into new building plans. For existing structures, minor rework of the surrounding concrete is necessary. The cost of concrete work and installation of the IFCW™ components compared to flood loss, business relocation or massive flood control structures, is negligible.
